50 Things Every Creative Should Know.

This website is full of useful knowledge to aspiring creatives such as ourselves, here are some of my favorites:

Listen to your instincts

If your work doesn’t excite you, then it won’t excite anyone else. It’s hard to fake passion for mediocre work – scrap it.

Ask questions

Assume nothing. Ask questions, even if you think you know the answers. You’ll be surprised at how little you know.

Seek criticism, not praise

You learn nothing by being told how great you are. Even if you think your work’s perfect – seek criticism, you can always ignore it.

This is just a few of 50 great tips that I should be applying in my own life/work. To visit the website click here.

Digital Grids

So after my hiatus of summer haze I am now back at University. So far I've been doing work on digital grids using indesign. This has been a fun project for me and I've been really invested in it. I'm no illustrator so doing graphic based work makes me happy.

Here's my 9 column grid which I really enjoyed working on. If you'd like to see my other indesign grids check them out at my issuu I've been doing a lot of looking at interesting things over the summer. I've got a lot of them written down I just need to compile some of them into a more in depth blog entry, expect it soon!
